A family bakery in the heart of Halifax County

Windmill Farm Bake Shop is a family-owned Mennonite bakery and deli located in South Boston's Hupps Mill Plaza. We're known regionally for our breakfast muffins, sweet breads, and doughnuts — and we're proud that folks drive across county lines to take a pie or two home for Sunday dinner.

At lunch the bake counter shifts gears. Out come fresh, homemade soups, deli sandwiches built on our own bread, sides made from scratch, and a salad bar with crisp greens. It's simple, hearty food made the way grandma did it.

The shop is clean, comfortable, and family-friendly. While you wait you'll find local music on CD, handmade arts and crafts from area makers, and a warm welcome from our staff. Windmill is a local favorite for a reason — and we'd love to make you part of the family too.
